DESCRIPTION:Entering Grades 2-4 in the Fall \n\n\n\nThis shorter session\, with smaller group sizes\, is ideal for this age group. They are just stepping out in the world\, and there is so much to experience! Making a new friend\, exploring the trails\, jumping in the lake — or even just wading — may seem like simple fun. In reality\, campers are gaining critical social skills\, a sense of independence\, and a greater awareness of God and creation. Being away from home can present some challenges initially\, but with gentle encouragement from our caring leaders\, campers grow in confidence.Favorite activities include story times\, crafts\, campfires – weather permitting\, silly camp games\, lying on the dock and watching fish\, swimming\, worship… and of course\, making s’mores. They also love spending time in their cabins with their bunk mates and cabin leaders.Half a week just not enough time?At N-SID-SEN\, Kids Camp can be paired with You & Me Camp for a full week of fun and adventures for appropriately aged younger buddies (those entering grades 2-4). DESCRIPTION:Entering Grades 10-13 in the FallA week to be your authentic self\, make good friends and have loads of fun. Sr High campers can get super crafty\, spend extra time at the waterfront\, or learn a new skill. The sense of community extends beyond family group times to epic volleyball games\, choice times with new friends and inspiring God Times. Evenings include stargazing\, a nightly “campfire” and dancing. It is a judgement-free zone where you can just be you.Favorites include the picnic in the meadow paired with an evening at the waterfront\, creating amazing worship\, the coolest cabin leaders\, and hanging with friends at the lake\, in the craft room\, and while exploring camp. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a unique celebration of art\, stone\, and community at the Northwest Stone Sculptors Association public art show. Explore over 100 hand-carved stone sculptures\, meet with the artists\, watch live demos\, and enter a raffle to win a sculpture of your own. Artists will be on site to discuss their art\, technique\, tools\, inspirations\, and\, of course\, the stones. \n\n\n\nThis event is the culmination of the NWSSA’s 37th Annual International Stone Carving Symposium\, where artisans from around the world spend ten days creating\, learning and building community. The final day offers this special opportunity to see their work up close – some available for purchase\, others simply to be admired. \n\n\n\nAdmission is free and a picnic lunch option will be available. Carpooling is encouraged as parking is limited. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a day at Pilgrim Firs on beautiful Lake Flora for a family-friendly picnic. Pilgrim Firs provides a free & delicious lunch including vegetarian option\, dessert\, and refreshments. There’s plenty of room to set up your own picnic area or lawn chairs to hang out and also a lot of picnic tables. If the weather doesn’t cooperate\, we have an indoor dining area. \n\n\n\nThere will be music\, ping pong\, giant jenga\, lawn games\, and you can enjoy our 120-acre site including trails around the lake and a contemplative labyrinth. \n\n\n\nThis event is by donation and all proceeds go to supporting Kitsap Pride and LGBT Youth programs. Everyone is welcome. Please carpool – space is limited. \n\n\n\nNote: Alcohol is allowed\, but none is provided. Dogs are allowed\, but none are provided.
