SUMMARY:Stone Sculpture Community Art Show
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a unique celebration of art\, stone\, and community at the Northwest Stone Sculptors Association public art show. Explore over 100 hand-carved stone sculptures\, meet with the artists\, watch live demos\, and enter a raffle to win a sculpture of your own. Artists will be on site to discuss their art\, technique\, tools\, inspirations\, and\, of course\, the stones. \n\n\n\nThis event is the culmination of the NWSSA’s 37th Annual International Stone Carving Symposium\, where artisans from around the world spend ten days creating\, learning and building community. The final day offers this special opportunity to see their work up close – some available for purchase\, others simply to be admired. \n\n\n\nAdmission is free and a picnic lunch option will be available. Carpooling is encouraged as parking is limited. Whether you’re an art lover\, curious visitor\, or simply looking for a beautiful afternoon surrounded by creativity and nature\, this is an event you won’t want to miss.

In addition to meeting those in their assigned cabins\, campers connect with folks in family groups for deeper conversations and outdoor fun. Jr High campers mix it up with choice time activities\, cool crafts\, the sports court\, hiking\, 9-Square\, canoeing\, kayaking\, swimming\, tubing\, water skiing and more.They love spending time with their peers — just hanging out — so there are a variety of structured and less structured opportunities to do just this. Growing and playing together\, exploring God’s creation\, building a Christian community — that’s Intermediate Camp! There’s more time for our favorite activities and to take on new responsibilities — like cabin chores and hopper duties.Because they are older\, and their gross motor skills are more developed\, Intermediate Campers can try their skills at canoeing and paddle boarding. The schedule includes many traditional activities like campfires\, time in and on the water\, arts and crafts\, and games. There will be time to explore and have new adventures as well. Most of your days and evenings will be spent with your buddy\, but there will be a scheduled time or two when adults will gather with adults and the younger buddies with each other and leaders. With this age group\, flexibility is important. SUMMARY:Kitsap Pride Community Picnic
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a day at Pilgrim Firs on beautiful Lake Flora for a family-friendly picnic. Pilgrim Firs provides a free & delicious lunch including vegetarian option\, dessert\, and refreshments. There’s plenty of room to set up your own picnic area or lawn chairs to hang out and also a lot of picnic tables. If the weather doesn’t cooperate\, we have an indoor dining area. \n\n\n\nThere will be music\, ping pong\, giant jenga\, lawn games\, and you can enjoy our 120-acre site including trails around the lake and a contemplative labyrinth. \n\n\n\nThis event is by donation and all proceeds go to supporting Kitsap Pride and LGBT Youth programs. Everyone is welcome. Please carpool – space is limited. \n\n\n\nNote: Alcohol is allowed\, but none is provided. Dogs are allowed\, but none are provided.
